The situation:
I made a Jquery application where I got data from an Airtaible API JSON and displayed is in the app with $.getJSON. Later I was able to store data back in the reccords using following code:

function updateAirtableComments(clicked_post_id , comment){
    console.log(clicked_post_id);
    console.log(comment);

        $.ajax({
            crossOrigin: true,
            url: 'https://api.airtable.com/v0/appnCLl3QpwaKBVev/Social%20content/' + clicked_post_id + '?api_key=XXXXX',
            type: 'PATCH',
            dataType: "application/json",
            data:{
                "fields": {
                    "Comments" : comment
                }
              }
          })
          .fail((error) => {
            console.error("There was an error processing your request:", error, error.responseText);
           })
          .done((response) => {
             console.log(response);
           });
           $('.loader').show();
        setTimeout(function()
            {
                window.location.reload(true);
            }, 1000);
    }

Now I'm remaking a similar app, also with an Airtable JSON API, but in React. I was able to show all the data out of the JSON in the app by making a fetch call to the API.

My question:
I now want to start creating the part where I write content back into the JSON (and Airtable). I looked online for how to do something similar as what I did above in Jquere, but then compatible with React.

I'm not necessarily asking for the code to be written for me, but I don't even know at what keywords to look for documentation or tutorials. Any Ideas?

Thanks!
